When I’m gone

To the one I care and one who cares: The days when you feel like I’m no longer a person you know, the days when you fail to reach me, the days you see me drifting… just know that I’ll be back once I discover myself again. Once in a while, I need to slow down and embrace solitude in a racing world. When I’m gone, I’ll be around with a better self of me, to you!

just a matter of swift breeze
the castle of my imagination comes down
crumbling to the ground
once in a while
only to realize
I’ve been living on a fantasy island
created on my own

don’t keep knocking at my doors
when I’m gone
walls I’ve built around me
rise higher and stronger
every passing day
after every aches and damage

Do you have the courage
to keep patience?
I’ll be back in a meantime
I sure will
when the sky is clear
and dark clouds no longer
hide the gleaming moonlight

next time I’ll be back
there might be a rainbow
rain will no longer downpour
maybe then we’ll see a brighter day
