One more sunset together

Maybe adding one last to every “one more” makes it forever

Memory is a strange thing
and time? always so fleeting
days seem longer and years so short

Just a blink of an eye and it’s all gone
I ask myself… Wasn’t it just yesterday when we met?
And it’s already time to bid farewell
There are moments I wish to capture long after they are gone

So let’s run away
Chase one more sunset together
before we set our ways apart

One more evening
One more view of the saffron sky

One more starry night
One more dance under the moonlight

Maybe by adding one more, our farewell can be delayed
For one last time, let’s reveal the secrets we never said

One last conversation before goodbye
Comforting silence and silent cry
One more smile even if it’s a lie
One last meet under the endless sky

Let’s take a long walk for one last time
Along the same old streets
When day and night greet
Maybe have one more dinner together?
And one last sip of coffee?

I will write one last poem for you
And spill one last stroke of colours on a blank canvas
to store these memories

Then maybe we can change this one more into a lifetime
Maybe adding one last to every “one more” makes it forever

That’s all I ask for
Just one last one more
till it turns to forever

Let’s watch one more sunset together
Till it turns to forever
Is it too much to ask for?
Just one last…one more…. together
